Hooray! It is finally the first day of FALL! To celebrate I put this post together of the top ten things I can’t wait to do. I hope this helps get you into the spirit of the season 🙂
1. Light a fall scented candle. This is the quickest way to get into the mood for the season. I did a whole post on the best fall scents that you can check out HERE.
2. Go apple picking at my favorite orchard. I love getting a couple of each variety they offer.
3. Bake a fresh apple pie. The smell of an apple pie baking in the oven is one of the sweetest smells there is! I love how it fills the whole house and nothing is better than that first bite!
4. Hang my Fall wreath on the door. It’s a festive way to welcome guests into your home.
5. Pick the perfect pumpkin. Honestly I’m more likely to pick about 10 pumpkins.
6. Build a scarecrow. This is something I’ve done every year for the past 5 years so I guess you could say it has become a bit of a tradition. I even enter my scarecrow into a local scarecrow building contest and have taken home second place the past 3 years. Maybe this year it will be first! (A girl can dream)
7. Have a cup of apple cider. Whether hot or cold you can’t go wrong with this autumnal staple. This paired with an apple turnover is even better!
8. Carve a pumpkin. I love transforming a pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern! Whether it be a grinning face, spooky monster, or just a beautiful geometrical design the possibilities are endless so make it your own.
9. Roast some pumpkin seeds. I never throw out the seeds from a pumpkin. Instead, I love to roast them with some olive oil and spices to make a delicious snack.
10. Take a drive to see the foliage. I love making a playlist on my phone, pouring a fall drink into my travel mug and just hopping in the car to take a relaxing drive with my husband.
Thanks for visiting! These are just some of the things I can not wait to do this season. It is always better to start early because I feel like there is never enough time to do everything! I hope some of these ideas will inspire you to be festive this autumnal season.
